MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Basketball Boot Camp is to produce and develop outstanding student-athletes who demonstrate our core values of sportsmanship, hard work and excellence both individually and in a team environment.  This is manifested through our “3D” philosophy – DEDICATION, DETERMINATION & DISCIPLINE.

PHILOSOPHY

Basketball Boot Camp: BBC is a fundamental skills development camp like no other in the world. We refer to it as boot camp because it is a basketball camp that concentrates on dedication, fundamentals, development and hard work! Most camps today concentrate on exposure; we forget the society of basketball camps new ways and come back into an “old school” mode of discipline. We will take the word “development” and turn it into something special where not only will we teach you the fundamental skills for your basketball development, but we will go one step further, we will teach you life lessons that will lead toward character development for your “off the court” life..

METHODOLOGY

Athleticism can make you a competitive player, but being fundamentally sound will make you a complete player. It is important to evaluate your skill level and determine what goal you want to achieve as a player. Since everyone's goals are different, our personal training sessions are designed to give each player the individual attention needed to improve their basketball ability and take their game to the next skill level.

Sessions focus on identifying weaknesses and developing strategies and drills. Each workout will focus on punishing weaknesses while strengthening existing abilities in order to meet individual goals. Sessions are intense and the athlete is pushed hard to accomplish their goal of improving their skill level.

Basketball Boot Camp is headquartered in Henderson, Nevada. We specialize in athlete development and training. Our clients range from 5-year old children just beginning to learn about the fun and excitement of sports to professional athletes, intent on perfecting their skills.

Our specialty is individual training, but we also train in small groups and teams. We periodically sponsor clinics, camps and mini-camps. Camps and clinics are generally held at one of our training facilities in Las Vegas but we also train at client locations.    Individual Training

One-on-one training sessions can last anywhere from 45 minutes to two-hours. Athletes are matched with a coach who is expert in a specific facet of training. Athletes may be paired with a shooting coach, skills/position coach, a performance trainer or even a conditioning coach. It just depends on what the individual athlete needs for that session.  As a rule, we develop an individualized training program for each athlete, designed to help them reach their particular goals. We accomplish this by modifying our 7-point training program to match each athlete's unique requirements.

Team Training

Basketball Boot Camp conducts team training at one of our training facilities or offsite, at the team's facility. Team training sessions are custom designed to strengthen a team weakness or take the team strength to the next level.  Our primary focus is to help players fully understands the speeds at which they train determine what they get from each session.

Skills Development

Basic skills development is the foundation of excellent play on the court. Basketball Boot Camp skills development covers every aspect of basketball fundamentals from the most basic footwork to the fine art of passing, dribbling, defense and shooting.

The key to skills mastery is repetition. Repetitive practice of fundamental skills in the correct manner teaches the body how to perform a skill correctly. This "muscle memory" is retained in the athlete's subconscious so that performing an athletic skill correctly requires no conscious effort.

Rhythm-n-Run

Because rhythm is a part of the game, Basketball Boot Camp periodically sponsors Rhythm-n-Run sessions at one of our training facilities where our live DJ helps the players on the court find their rhythm.  This is a fun way for players to learn how to control the basketball with a specific rhythm..
